Artists are invited to submit proposals for The Lilac arts Series. The Lilac Arts Series is a summer-long series of art exhibitions aboard the historic museum ship Lilac berthed at Hudson River Park’s Pier 25 in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City. Through three themes inspired by the Lilac’s story, artists and audiences will be asked to relate to the Lilac’s unique spaces in new ways. Wave Hill announces a call to artists for its 2016 Sunroom Project Space Program. The Sunroom Project Space is a venue for New York-area emerging artists to create site-specific work or a special project to be exhibited in a six-week solo show in one of the two windowed sunrooms in Wave Hill’s Glyndor Gallery. Five artists will be selected for 2016. Work in all media will be considered. The selected artists will be awarded an honorarium of $1,500 and will have between six and 12 months to develop their ideas and to create new work for the project space.

Preference will be given to artists whose work addresses the larger questions in our world today such as race, class, social and ecological issues. Residencies are 6 – 8 weeks in duration, and include a weekly stipend of $250.

Flint and Steel are six week residencies designed to allow artists to join forces with academic partners. Artists and Tulane University faculty members will be united to inspire each other in the development of new work, to excite the public, and to ignite social change. Addressing the artists’ desire to be more effective and have longer lasting impact with their outreach, these collaborations will empower the artistic practice with scholarship, student manpower and academic resources from Tulane. Artist residents are provided a $2000 stipend, and $1000 towards materials.

Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop Studio Immersion Program

Studio Immersion Project (SIP) is an intensive 3 month studio fellowship designed to immerse artists in the world of printmaking. SIP Fellows will acquire new techniques and build upon existing skills. Artists, from all media, interested in making printmaking a regular part of their creative practice are invited to apply. Eligibility is limited to artists living and working in New York State. Artists must be able to spend a minimum of 20 hours working in the studio each week for the three month SIP period. Artists must be able attend all sessions of SIP 2015 Orientation. Fellows receive a one year RBPMW membership, three months unlimited studio access, a monthly stipend and a materials stipend.

Sewing Seeds Residency 2015

Sewing Seeds’ Residency awards artists that integrate natural dyes, community engagement and public spaces in their practice. During 6 weeks, the selected artist will work towards developing a site specific project to be displayed outdoors in one of Sewing Seeds garden partners. Throughout the residency, the artist will have access to studio space and locally grown natural dye materials. The selected artist will receive a $1000 materials stipend, personal access to the TAC/AIR space for the duration of the residency, and access to TAC’s studio and equipment.
